UPDATE: Islamic Congregation Needs Bigger Murrieta Location

The new Murrieta home for the Islamic Center of Temecula Valley is bigger, which makes room for an expanding congregation, an organizer says.

The has grown out of their old location.

The Muslim congregation is leaving its current 6,000-square-foot location on Rio Nedo in Temecula for an 8,000-square-foot Hobie Circle location in Murrieta.

"It was getting a little too small," said Hadi Nael, the chairman of the center's board of directors, about the Temecula location.

The new building on has seven classrooms, which is the same as the former location, but the prayer hall is 3,000 square feet, rather than the 2,000 square feet in the former location, the chairman said.

The congregation was leasing the previous building, and the lease expired Oct. 31. So, they found the new location, which has a better layout for their needs, Nael said.
