A California Distinguished School, it is home to an award-winning marching band and a renowned choir, and, recently, it became an International Baccalaureate World School.
Murrieta Elementary School

This is the first school that was established in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. It is locatedMore near the new Town Square and Murrieta Public Library. The campus underwent renovations in 2002 and kept its historic bell tower as part of the design. The bell was first rung on Oct. 28, 1885, and had two homes before being relocated to Murrieta Elementary in 1958. Extended daycare is offered on-site for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Students from Murrieta Elementary later attend Thompson Middle School and Murrieta Valley High School. 
Vista Murrieta High School

Vista Murrieta High School is the home of the Broncos. Located on Clinton Keith Road east of Interstate 215, VistaMore Murrieta was the second comprehensive high school built in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District and had its first graduating class in 2006.

CBS Max Preps Sports has named Vista Murrieta the "Most Spirited High School in America!" twice, in 2009 and 2010. It has a thriving video production program.

Students can earn college credits through a dual enrollment partnership with Mt. San Jacinto College, focusing on occupational areas.

Warm Springs Middle School

Warm Springs Middle School, the home of the Wildcats, was the third middle school to be built in the Murrieta ValleyMore Unified School District. It opened in in 2002, and the first students helped choose the mascot and school colors of blue and white.Students at Warm Springs study core subjects with regular, advanced and intervention levels in each area. According to the school's mission statement, "...multiple teaching styles will be employed as a means of reaching all learners."

Academics are enriched by exploratory classes such as band and choir, along with an array of student organizations and clubs. There is an optional afterschool program, the Wildcat Den. Elementary schools that feed into Warm Springs are Buchanan and Alta Murrieta. Warm Springs students go on to attend Vista Murrieta High School.

Dorothy McElhinney Middle School

Located in east Murrieta, Dorothy McElhinney Middle School is one of the newer additions to the Murrieta ValleyMore Unified School District.

Besides following the district's standards of academic excellence, McElhinney is a visual and performing arts school. Students are exposed to vocal and instrumental music, drama, dance and visual art, ceramics and computer arts.

The school's namesake, Dorothy McElhinney, owned the 400-acre Pinto Ranch on which the campus now stands. Feeder schools are Lisa J. Mails and Monte Vista elementary schools. McElhinney students feed into Vista Murrieta High School.
