To enjoy the quaint atmosphere while browsing the shelves loaded with more than 15,000 titles, visit this Los Alamos Road location in the Gateway Shopping Center or at its newest location adjacent to the library at 8 Town Square. Friends of the Murrieta Library is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that started before Murrieta had a library, acting as a catalyst in raising money to start one. If you have books to donate, drop them by either location during business hours.

Residents can enjoy free rentals with a library card issued through Murrieta, Riverside or San Bernardino libraries. Card holders have access to free computer use in one-hour increments, and all computers are programmed with Microsoft Professional Suite; printing is 10 cents per page black and white. A copy center is also available for copy needs and free WiFi is offered throughout the library. The Murrieta Public Library features sections for children, young adults and adults with a collection of more than 95,000 titles. Periodicals and newspapers are also available.

Located on Town Square near the public library and City Hall, the center offers everything from hobby workshops to exercise programs and pool tournaments. A glance at the full parking lot shows that the center has become popular among local seniors.
Lunch is served at 11:30am on weekdays; reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Other services offered at the center include advanced planning, legal aid, notary, hi cap and veterans' benefits.
