@Armen...it's tabloid and it's 'Trending'....which are the two basic criteria that Brian SlupskiRead More starts with, in determining an article's relevance on Patch ( before then deciding WHICH of the salacious tabloid stories make the cut ). Apparently, Patch management has decided that what's most important is to focus on appealing to the baser instincts and appetites of readers......

"Internet security" is an oxymoron. The internet is a joke when it comes to security. ForRead More years people felt they were "secure" on websites with the little lock showing in browser. Now we know with the Heartbleed vulnerability the sites weren't secure. Even the military was hacked. We've moved a huge portion of economy to a system thats insecure - and is also being used by countries as a battleground to fight each others. There will be a disaster.

Any word on where the baby's mom was ?
tamarya April 18, 2014 at 06:04 pm
This is what happens when we don't teach teenagers in high school to grow up and be adults. TheyRead More turn into their 20's and have kids and treat their kids the way they treated other classmates in school. Time these people grow up. Starting at 16 you are not a baby and definatly at 24 you are not.
The couple seen in this photo are believed to have used a credit card taken from the same purse which contained a grieving mother's toys that once belonged to her baby boy. Photo courtesy: Murrieta Police Department.

Kudos to the officers who PUSHED this to the DA and had him re-arrested. I am certain the arrestingRead More officers spent many a sleepless night trying to figure out how to KEEP this guy incarcerated, instead of out in public where his sick actions will forever change the lives of young women and their families.

@JD tippet -- You wrote, "Our society is far creepier than this dude….."Read More ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How eerily profound. I think most people would agree that all of your comments ARE the prime example of which you speak. I would like to nominate you for creepy poster child. You could fulfill your public service to the community by demonstrating to kids to stay away from perverted strangers. I think it is definitely your niche.

Lake Elsinore Resident then you like people that fake their party affiliation and fake residency?Read More You think it is OK for a DA candidate to break laws? You must like criminals and want someone in office that likes criminals too.

Maybe take it out by Homeland. I used to work by the Amy's Frozen Foods manufacturer in Santa RosaRead More and it stunk so bad when you went out side you would want to puke. Until you work or live by that foul smelling stuff you have no idea. Someone should invent how to catch the horrible smells before it leaves the buildings.
all-c-ing-eye April 18, 2014 at 11:51 am
Perhaps the only solution would be to have it made outside the USA. and have the company import it,Read More problem solved. Most Americans dont like these odors that burn the eyes etc. but they are getting accustomed to ordering them in restaurants that specialize in certain ethnic foods, then they can leave eating establishment and not have to smell it anymore. I used to live near people from india that cooked with curry all the time and had to keep my clothes in plastic bags as everything in the home reeked from the Oder all the time. They were nice people but never understood why Americans found fault with their cooking smells. Perhaps this is the case here with sriracha.

@JD tippit -- Preliminary press releases almost always report the minimum amount from the bailRead More schedule. Final bail is usually adjusted after investigative reports are completed. The county D.A., or in this case the U.S. Attorney (bank robbery=federal offense), will seek enhancements base on the investigator's findings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This explains why your friendly "sock sniffer's" original bail started at $5k, but escalated to $1M when evidence revealed that he was allegedly a serial pedophile who attempted to kidnap a young girl. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the US attorney gets this case, there is no doubt that the multiple counts of bank robbery with a firearm will cause his bail to soar. But, I doubt that you will see that level of follow-up in the media for this case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW: I don't mind explaining these things to you and others who are unfamiliar with the legal system. I just find it sad that you tend to frequently embarrass yourself on the Patch by making absurd comments before you have made any apparent effort to educate yourself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps, if you spent just a little more time gathering some facts on topics, you could provide insightful comments instead of the misinformed remarks that you usually make. I'm sure it would draw more positive attention, rather than the hateful disdain from others that seems to follow you. ~Please accept this as constructive criticism... good luck.

J. D. Tippit (September 18, 1924 – November 22, 1963) was an American police officer with theRead More Dallas Police Department who was, according to two federal government investigations, shot and killed by 24-year-old former Marine Lee Harvey Oswald.

Brandon Ross April 18, 2014 at 07:37 am
@kaitee if you take early release that counts as your seventh period so you are still in threeRead More classes a day so six classes. If you take late start that counts as your first period of the day but you still have the next two periods and seventh period so still six classes. Do not tell me my argument is flawed when your math is completely incorrect
Wizzo April 18, 2014 at 08:03 am
Congratulations Brandon Ross!! Right, wrong, or otherwise you are at least trying. Rather than sitRead More and complain you are trying to implement a change, you are starting the process. Just what "federal" law is it that this person is being extorted over? And shouldn't aRead More sign be posted warning that "drink refills" are a federal crime?

Why don't you just take "Local" out of the title??
Kerry Murphy April 18, 2014 at 06:18 pm

Still upset how they handled it, we get phone call and email at the end of the day, yet my son wasRead More at school all day and didn't even know about it until I text him and asked him if he was locked down or what was going on he was completely oblivious to the situation.
