Perhaps this was all meant as a horribly misguided homage to Vincent van Gogh. In the days to come,Read More we may read of a lucky lady—or gent—receiving a parcel containing the rapper’s severed appendage and a note inscribed with the words: “Take it, it will be useful.”

actually, this hits a little too close to home… I hope none of the children I've victimizedRead More over the many years I spent as a school teacher in the Bay area ever find me. my goose would fry for sure.
Brenda April 19, 2014 at 09:03 am
Seriously, where are the parents who teach these girls of 12 and UP, to not take off their pants??Read More To school teachers and anyone else? If they do it willingly knowing some sort of sexual things are going to happen, then who is here to put all the blame on the teacher? I sure cant because if my daughters had done something like that they would have known exactly what was going to happen because we drilled molestations and predators into their heads from the time they started school. We taught them every possible scenerio we knew and any new ones that came up in the news on how these predators get to them. If these girls are getting "molested" then parents are seriously lacking in talking and relating to their children and their schools are even at fault for not making sure they are watching all the videos they show now about just this subject. I am sorry, but if these girls were 15, 16, and the teacher was 24, there is not that much difference and with over 65% of high school girls/guys having some sort of sexual activity its going to happen. THe age of consent needs to change especially w hen these girls come back a few years later and scream MOLESTER after a 4 or 5 yr relationship, after reaching 18, and then of course file civil suits on John Does 1 thru 100. They will get some nice shush money in a few months and never have to work a day in their lives.
john blackwood April 19, 2014 at 09:36 am
Brenda you idiot , Dont you realize how ignorant you sound. So regardless its okthen , These kids areRead More still minors who are still growing mentally and pphysically . For a teacher to physiologically and physically take an advantage of that is a predator. Your talking about a person who went to college git a degree and became a principal, That means she probably has a masters degree.Compared to a child who is still growing up mentally .Wow you have issues .I send my kids to learnnot to be taking as sexuall object for teachers own wants.WWeather this kid consented or not any adult knows better. These girls were probably to ashamed to say anything .Brenda once again this shows how ignorant your pist is.

I own a small business in Woodridge IL. The amount of credit card fraud has here has increased tenRead More fold over last year. I have to tell you that the card owner doesn't get burned, the card issuer don't either, nor does the company you hire to process and approve the cards. It's the local merchant where the card was used. Online ordering is the worst. The big banks say you didn't swipe a card, so you're liable, even though it was approved by that same bank at the time of purchase. If this keeps up, I'll have to go backwards in time and shut down online ordering. So much for a cashless society.

I think I will go back to using checks at stores and cash at gas stations. I found a gas station inRead More Eagle Rock that gives a discount for using cash and generally buy my gas there. Not as convenient as using a debit card but I had to cancel my card after using it at Target right before Christmas. What a hassle.

I fail to see what this guy's race or politicial affiliation has to do with what he did. He looksRead More white to me (so the "third-world" comment doesn't make sense), and the "Obozocare" comment is absolutely ridiculous. You can blame the video games, but this guy had an underlying reason for what he did. You have to have a lot of patience to deal with a baby. They cry. They screw up your life if you really haven't grown up. I was appalled that he is being charged with third-degree murder, but I don't think he meant to kill his son. He just wasn't mature enough to be a father.
tamarya April 19, 2014 at 09:33 am
Well pam that is where i was getting with my comment. Time people grow the hell up! There is noRead More reason a 24 yr old MAN should be too immature to raise a baby. Start teaching these young adults to be young adults, not 2 yr old babies. In high school is where it can start.
The couple seen in this photo are believed to have used a credit card taken from the same purse which contained a grieving mother's toys that once belonged to her baby boy. Photo courtesy: Murrieta Police Department.

These two are selfish pricks. They don't care about the mother or those toys. They wanted to takeRead More what someone else earned. Throw the book at them!
Brenda April 19, 2014 at 09:10 am
Bail amounts never seize to amaze me. All-ceeing, I totally agree with you unless the toys wereRead More dumped in a trash can somewhere. They could use them as a bargaining tool and its ultimately up to the victim if she will let suspects plea down or out of a crime. I would not allow anyone to plea out of anything myself, toys or not, and its very true that toys or not, that baby is right with his mother every second of every single day and she can put a few pictures on pins, or all sorts of different things if she likes in a new purse. These idiots need to do some time but with that ridiculously small amount of bail it doesnt look lke the charges will be much.

trueconservative April 18, 2014 at 08:16 pm
Ignore Tidbit, he is just riling the crowd. No normal rational thinking person would think that thisRead More guy was not attempting a kidnapping. Also, I don't believe that this Alexis Edmundo Garcia feels embarrassed or shame. He may have a personality disorder, whatever that is, like Jody Arias who killed her boyfriend in Arizona. I agree that there is no fixing someone like this, he probably started tearing wings off of flies and other animal mutilation, no impulse control, when he was a very young man. People around him, family, friends, etc. are probably in denial about what type of person he actually is. This is a perfect example as to why there should still be forced institutionalism for mentally ill people who need monitoring. Ask one of these parents who have been seeking mental health care for their children for years and get no help until a horrible crime has been committed and the perpetrator is caught or killed.
Thresher 200 April 19, 2014 at 07:46 am
Well... he's not convicted yet. Let's see what comes out in the trial. Even though he's an idiot,Read More he's still innocent until a judge or jury finds him guilty. all-c-ing-eye April 18, 2014 at 11:51 am
Perhaps the only solution would be to have it made outside the USA. and have the company import it,Read More problem solved. Most Americans dont like these odors that burn the eyes etc. but they are getting accustomed to ordering them in restaurants that specialize in certain ethnic foods, then they can leave eating establishment and not have to smell it anymore. I used to live near people from india that cooked with curry all the time and had to keep my clothes in plastic bags as everything in the home reeked from the Oder all the time. They were nice people but never understood why Americans found fault with their cooking smells. Perhaps this is the case here with sriracha.

Justice For All April 18, 2014 at 12:29 am
@JD tippit -- Preliminary press releases almost always report the minimum amount from the bailRead More schedule. Final bail is usually adjusted after investigative reports are completed. The county D.A., or in this case the U.S. Attorney (bank robbery=federal offense), will seek enhancements base on the investigator's findings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This explains why your friendly "sock sniffer's" original bail started at $5k, but escalated to $1M when evidence revealed that he was allegedly a serial pedophile who attempted to kidnap a young girl. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the US attorney gets this case, there is no doubt that the multiple counts of bank robbery with a firearm will cause his bail to soar. But, I doubt that you will see that level of follow-up in the media for this case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW: I don't mind explaining these things to you and others who are unfamiliar with the legal system. I just find it sad that you tend to frequently embarrass yourself on the Patch by making absurd comments before you have made any apparent effort to educate yourself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps, if you spent just a little more time gathering some facts on topics, you could provide insightful comments instead of the misinformed remarks that you usually make. I'm sure it would draw more positive attention, rather than the hateful disdain from others that seems to follow you. ~Please accept this as constructive criticism... good luck.
