There are not called 'vanity plates' without reason. Regardless of the nature of the message theyRead More are used to convey, Americans and several other nationalities, including -- somewhat surprisingly -- Scandinavians, are permitted to sport personalized license plates. Is this really necessary at all? Aren't bumper stickers sufficient to express everything from vanity to insanity?

The worst part is, now, for the second time in how many years, the tax payers are going to wasteRead More money defending against this lawsuit (some guy wanted athe1st or something a while back) Fire the nit-witts who are doing these veto's so that we can save their salaries and the legal costs and put it towards our sadly lacking educational system. They are taught this nonsense in the ultra liberal left wing nut job Universities. We actually pay these people to teach this stuff. The next time you need an Exorcist done, who are you going to call?? Oh and remember, a liberalism is a mental disorder. Check out Michael Savage's book. You may learn something.

As in many ancient cultures, Ukrainians worshipped a sun god (Dazhboh). The sun was important - itRead More warmed the earth and thus was a source of all life. Eggs decorated with nature symbols became an integral part of spring rituals, serving as benevolent talismans. In pre-Christian times, Dazhboh was one of the main deities in the Slavic pantheon; birds were the sun god's chosen creations, for they were the only ones who could get near him. Humans could not catch the birds, but they did manage to obtain the eggs the birds laid. Thus, the eggs were magical objects, a source of life. The egg was also honored during rite-of-Spring festivals––it represented the rebirth of the earth. The long, hard winter was over; the earth burst forth and was reborn just as the egg miraculously burst forth with life. The egg, therefore, was believed to have special powers. With the advent of Christianity, via a process of religious syncretism, the symbolism of the egg was changed to represent, not nature's rebirth, but the rebirth of man. Christians embraced the egg symbol and likened it to the tomb from which Christ rose. With the acceptance of Christianity in 988, the decorated pysanka, in time, was adapted to play an important role in Ukrainian rituals of the new religion. Many symbols of the old sun worship survived and were adapted to represent Easter and Christ's Resurrection. The world's largest pysanka is in Alberta, Canada to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RCMP.

Seriously, where are the parents who teach these girls of 12 and UP, to not take off their pants??Read More To school teachers and anyone else? If they do it willingly knowing some sort of sexual things are going to happen, then who is here to put all the blame on the teacher? I sure cant because if my daughters had done something like that they would have known exactly what was going to happen because we drilled molestations and predators into their heads from the time they started school. We taught them every possible scenerio we knew and any new ones that came up in the news on how these predators get to them. If these girls are getting "molested" then parents are seriously lacking in talking and relating to their children and their schools are even at fault for not making sure they are watching all the videos they show now about just this subject. I am sorry, but if these girls were 15, 16, and the teacher was 24, there is not that much difference and with over 65% of high school girls/guys having some sort of sexual activity its going to happen. THe age of consent needs to change especially w hen these girls come back a few years later and scream MOLESTER after a 4 or 5 yr relationship, after reaching 18, and then of course file civil suits on John Does 1 thru 100. They will get some nice shush money in a few months and never have to work a day in their lives.

Brenda you idiot , Dont you realize how ignorant you sound. So regardless its okthen , These kids areRead More still minors who are still growing mentally and pphysically . I think I will go back to using checks at stores and cash at gas stations. I found a gas station inRead More Eagle Rock that gives a discount for using cash and generally buy my gas there. I've started using cash more in the past year for grocery and gas. It's simplified bill paying,Read More reducing the number of credit card receipts that need to be reconciled with statements! Brenda- the victim has nothing to do with plea deals- it is between the prosecutor and the defenseRead More attorney. The prosecutor is in essence representing the victim. So he and the Defense attorney get together over drinks and decide the defendants fate.

I understand that with success comes notoriety. So while I am a not surprised by the level ofRead More interest you all have in that family, I am surprised that it is not just left at that. I am surprised that people from this area would resort to posting elementary school comments. I thought we were a little more refined than that. So many comments about the father, his family or employees and not one comment about if the kid is ok? If the father specifically did something to you and you want to come out and share your experience of why you think he’s this or that, then go ahead. But to sit here and ambiguously post comments about things you heard, that have no real impact on you, makes you look childish or jealous

Perhaps the only solution would be to have it made outside the USA. and have the company import it,Read More problem solved. Most Americans dont like these odors that burn the eyes etc. but they are getting accustomed to ordering them in restaurants that specialize in certain ethnic foods, then they can leave eating establishment and not have to smell it anymore. @JD tippit -- Preliminary press releases almost always report the minimum amount from the bailRead More schedule. Final bail is usually adjusted after investigative reports are completed. The county D.A., or in this case the U.S. Attorney (bank robbery=federal offense), will seek enhancements base on the investigator's findings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This explains why your friendly "sock sniffer's" original bail started at $5k, but escalated to $1M when evidence revealed that he was allegedly a serial pedophile who attempted to kidnap a young girl. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When the US attorney gets this case, there is no doubt that the multiple counts of bank robbery with a firearm will cause his bail to soar. But, I doubt that you will see that level of follow-up in the media for this case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW: I don't mind explaining these things to you and others who are unfamiliar with the legal system. I just find it sad that you tend to frequently embarrass yourself on the Patch by making absurd comments before you have made any apparent effort to educate yourself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps, if you spent just a little more time gathering some facts on topics, you could provide insightful comments instead of the misinformed remarks that you usually make. I'm sure it would draw more positive attention, rather than the hateful disdain from others that seems to follow you. ~Please accept this as constructive criticism... good luck.
