Mount fired 3 rounds from the Ak and hey landed short of the vehicle-more range time for him. AndRead More the story mentioned a "machine gun"- where was that.? An AK is not a machine gun, even if it has been altered to fire full auto. The author of the article needs to become a bit more technically educated.
Sam July 23, 2014 at 01:12 pm
KMA - you are correct in your statement! This writer only writes what the DA or the police wants youRead More to read and doesn't really care about the truth of the story. A real writer would investigate the full story and report the full story!

And who's this Doug Myers defense attorney? If he's a Deputy Public Defender, well I guess heRead More doesn't have much choice in the cases he is assigned to represent. However, if this is the typical bottom feeder private criminal defense attorney who thinks he is gonna rep this killer in hopes of attaining Johnny Cochran, F Lee Bailey or Robert Shapiro status by getting his killer client off, he outta be ashamed of his soul-less existance. Hey Myers, imagine if this was your wife or son or kid(s) raped, tortured and executed in your home........then what?!?!?!

Pujol Street is no longer the Pujol Street of years back. The area has cleaned up very well.
christina July 20, 2014 at 11:49 am
^^ Agreed. Checking out all these articles, everyone is talking crap on the area. Yes, it used toRead More be bad (most of the apartment complexes in the area have been established as Crime Free Multi-Housing for over 15 years), but have any of the people talking trash even been there recently to see that? Seriously though, just as normal as any other area in the city. I'd love some of these people to see a real ghetto and see how Pujol compares.
KMA July 20, 2014 at 12:27 pm
Ah the real ghetto- like Casa Blanca in Riverside-like southwest LA around MLK Blvd- yes Pujol wasRead More never that bad- and that was where the VFW was for many years-now if they could just get rid of the beggars in the wash area.

I already know i'm an idiot. That's why I stay at home when I could be outside roaming around doingRead More burglaries and vandalizing properties instead of writing what I know will work. It's not my fault burglary isn't a job and vandalism doesn't pay, maybe he would have been good at fishing or be the next Picasso. I grew up in Temecula and I know there is nothing to do there unless you have lots of friends and family, all the people there care about it money, cars, and how they look. There's nothing to do there if you don't have family either, because if you're alone, you're on the streets.

KMA July 18, 2014 at 11:07 am
Steve M-how do you know he is a meth head? The article does not say. Commuting from Riverside toRead More Murrieta just to steal the wire seems a bit much-there is plenty of construction in Riverside he could steal from. Unless his fence is down here.

Now how does one force oral copulation? Was this female toothless? I'm sure if she bit off hisRead More member that would put a instant stop to the whole situation since there was no mention of any weapons or use of fire arms mentioned. Something sounds fishy about this case.
KMA July 14, 2014 at 02:25 pm
Ken- I would think the female would be a bit leery about taking a bite. Or it could be a case of yesRead More I will, but now I won't. Maybe she was slapped around and figured the less of two evils. Kaliforniastan provides a "gun free" environment for every illegal criminal in the state,Read More as well as central America. Yes Brenda I agree with you..but you stated that you dont understand why they are letting in peopleRead More from south america and sand countries? There is some called "asylum". DUI should be the primary traffic enforcement priority.
ChrisG July 16, 2014 at 02:44 pm
That's right Marvin. The problem is people think checkpoints are a good enforcement tool when thatRead More is not the case. The stats I've seen are abysmal compared to saturation and roving patrols. How many new state prisons are under construction? How many additions are being built at existingRead More facilities? AB 109 is a stop gap measure. The state needs more capacity. When will more beds be available?
ChrisG July 8, 2014 at 06:08 am
@dave, I don't buy into that 20% deterrent stat. Nothing deters people from drinking and drivingRead More like reading about a bunch of people getting arrested for it. Checkpoints do not do that. Roving patrols however do. Everyone posting here is anti-DUI. The difference is how to better use that grant money. Checkpoints do not measure up compared with saturation patrols. Think about it.
Shannan Buffolino July 13, 2014 at 01:57 pm
I understand both sides here, but can I say how this does actually keep more drunk drivers off theRead More roads, and how this probably has saved more lives than we know. When they do these checkpoints, PEOPLE talk, social media, text, and I have even heard a dj stop music and say they heard there are a couple of checkpoints, advising to take a cab for $20 , rather than the many costs a DUI arrest will cost. So a lot will take a cab, or someone else drives, or they can even have a couple hours, drink water, maybe sober up sitting inside the casino until 5 am to avoid that checkpoint. So just because no one was arrested at the DUI checkpoints, it certainly stops and deters A lot of drunk people from driving. :)
Shannan Buffolino July 13, 2014 at 01:59 pm
And I agree also with Chris about the roving patrol.
