Southern California Fair Opens in Perris on Saturday

Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. There are monster truck shows each day at 2:30 p.m.

Whether it's the livestock, the rides, the crafts, the food or the live entertainment, this annual Riverside County event—now in its 100th year—promises fun for the entire family.

The Southern California Fair opens Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Lake Perris Fairgrounds and runs through next Sunday, Oct. 13.

There is live music on weekday evenings, monster truck shows on weekend afternoons, and many other events through the week. A complete schedule is online.

The fairgrounds are located at 18700 Lake Perris Drive, east of I-215 off Ramona Expressway. Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. on Friday. Parking is $8 and admission is $8 for adults 12 and older, $4 for children 5 to 11, and free for younger children.
