Storm Causes Damages Around Murrieta, What Have You Seen?

As the second of two Pacific storms this week swept across Southwest Riverside County and Murrieta Friday, evidence of it's damages could be seen around town.

Murrieta Patch is getting reports of flooding along roadways, and trees snapped in half.

The storm is expected to stay around through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.  By Monday, though, mostly sunny skies are forecast.

Here's a detailed breakdown of what you can expect in Murrieta through Sunday: 

  • Friday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 52. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  • Friday:  Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 58. South wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  • Saturday Night:  Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then showers likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 48. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  • Sunday:  A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Sunday Night:  A 20 percent chance of showers before 10pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north in the evening.
