New Rotary Club of Murrieta Leaders Take Office

Newly-appointed President Frank Donahoe announces the Rotary Club of Murrieta's 2012-13 leadership.

Frank Donahoe, newly-appointed 2012-13 president of the Rotary Club of Murrieta, announced the officers and directors who will serve the club and community in the coming year.

Patsy Orr is president-elect and Craig Carper is president-nominee. Jeannette Hartmann is the immediate past president.

Secretary is George Steele and Donna Thomas-McNeely serves as treasurer.

Club Directors are: LouEllen Ficke, club administration: Carper, foundation; Mark Morgan, membership; Al Vollbrecht, service; and Dennis McCarbery, public relations.

Club committee chairs are: Jann Gentry, community service; Jody Lawlor, new generations (youth) service, and Gabriella Brown, vocational service. Dawn Fujiwara-Pavlik and Mike Shirley are sergeants at arms.

Also serving the club are Pete Palmer, club trainer; Bob Bryant, Field of Honor chair; Mike Stomsoe, programs chair, and Victor Bottino, social media.

Donahoe said his 2012-13 "goals for the club are to continue its many positive local community and international projects, look for more opportunities to serve, have lots of fun while doing projects and activities, and reflecting the Rotary International focus and goal of 'Peace Through Service.'"

The club serves the City of Murrieta and surrounding area, plus is involved in international projects in cooperation with Rotary International:  which has as its ongoing theme "Service Above Self."  

The Rotary Club of Murrieta was chartered on April 28, 1992 and serves the City of Murrieta and area. It sponsors community events such as the Murrieta Field of Honor.

Rotary is one of the largest international humanitarian service organizations in the world, with 1.2 million members in some 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographic areas. Rotary began in 1905 in Chicago and serves the needs of local communities and locales around the world.
