Library Jazz Concert: Murrieta Asked to 'Save the Date'
Tickets are on sale for Jazz at the Garden II, a second annual benefit concert planned Sept. 30 for the Murrieta Public Library.
A jazz concert to benefit the is set for September, and the community was asked to "save the date."
The Friends of the Murrieta Library and the Murrieta Public Library Foundation will present their second annual fundraiser, Jazz at the Garden II, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. Proceeds go toward the Library’s programs and collections.

The fund-raising concert, featuring jazz quartet Hart and Soul with Friends, will be held in the Library’s garden, followed by a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and opportunity drawing, according to a news release.
During the event, Shirley and Fred Grimes, long-time Murrieta residents, will be honored for their generous contributions to the construction and furnishing of the Library’s Children’s Reading Room.

"Since the current Library opened in 2007, the Grimes’ gifts have benefited thousands of children, as they explore the world of learning and participate in Library programs," Fokken said.
Tickets, at $50 for cabaret table seating and $30 for concert seating, may be purchased online at www.murrietalibraryfoundation.org or at www.murrietalibraryfriends.org. Tickets are also available at the at 8 Town Square near the Library entrance, or at 39445 Los Alamos Road, Murrieta.
Sponsorship donations are also being sought from local businesses, organizations and individuals.
