Habitat for Humanity Seeks Homes in Need of Ongoing Upkeep

Applications are being accepted for the ongoing project, A Brush With Kindness.

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is seeking local low-incomes families and senior citizens in need of assistance with the upkeep on the exterior of their homes.

"...The hope is that by helping these families with their yard work, painting, cleaning and trash removal, the resident and the rest of their neighborhood will begin to feel pride of ownership," said Kristi Reedy, spokesperson for the Temecula-based nonprofit.

In April, Habitat teamed up with , providing A Brush of Kindness to homeowners in the Historic Downtown Murrieta area.

The organization would like the community to know that the program is ongoing.

Applications from homeowners in need of painting, minor exterior repairs, landscaping, weatherization and exterior clean-up are now being accepted.

Homeowners interested in receiving help through A Brush with Kindness can contact Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley at 951-296-3362. 

Recipients will be selected based on income, need and willingness to partner on other Habitat for Humanity projects, Reedy said.

"The program is a holistic approach to providing affordable housing and assisting communities as well as families," she said.
