Take the Family to a Movie at Lake Skinner

A summer event series continues at Lake Skinner tonight with a family-friendly movie.

Cool off as the sun goes down at Lake Skinner while enjoying a free, family-friendly movie night from sunset to 8 p.m. today.

The event is part of a summer series Riverside County Park and Open Space District is hosting on Saturdays through Sept. 1. Events include movies, live bands and stargazing.

Lake Skinner is located at 37701 Warren Road in Winchester, about 15 miles east of Murrieta.

Here is a listing of events:

  • Family Friendly Movie—sunset to 8 p.m. July 28
  • The Chico Band (Latin Dance)—6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 4
  • Stargazing at Lake Skinner—8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 11
  • Third Rail Blue (Blues band)—6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 18
  • Family-Friendly Movie—sunset to 8 p.m. Aug. 25
  • The Silverados (Country band)—6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 1

In order to qualify for free admission, guests need to arrive after 4 p.m. and let staff at the entrace kiosk know they are there for the summer event series.
