World Class Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps Practices at Vista Murrieta
Vista Murrieta high School and the Golden Alliance Marching band is playing host to one of the top Drum an Bugle Corps in the United states this week.
The Crown is staying at Vista Murrieta and practicing daily as they prepare for this weekend’s performances while enjoying the California weather and working on their tans.
The Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps is a World Class competitive junior drum and bugle corps based in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

“Most the members are college kids from the south,” said Brian Keith, who is affiliated with the band.
The Corps mission is “to Developing lifelong excellence in young people through a superior and challenging performing arts education experience,” according to its website.

They are here this weekend for the 2013 edition of the Western Corps Connection. This event will feature a dynamic lineup of world, open and all-age class corps.
Bands from across the state will join the Carolina Crown to perform this weekend in Escondio, Walnut and Riverside.
Bands include Pacific Crest from Diamond Bar, the Blue Devils of Concord, Sacramento’s Mandarins, Impulse from Buena Park, City Sound from Long Beach and Huntington Beach’s SoCal Dream.
The performances begin at 9 a.m. daily, and the venues are listed below:
