Vista Murrieta Player Named to All-State Underclassmen Team

Su'a Cravens is only a junior in high school but he is already being recruited by more college football programs than anyone in recent memory.

On Monday, Su'a Cravens was named to this year's Cal-Hi Sports All-State Underclass team with a place on the First Team Juniors (Defense) roster.

Cravens' abilities have been utilized on both sides of the ball.  His list of honors and awards continues to grow.  Two weeks ago, ESPN's Cal-Hi Sports named him its 2011 State Junior Player of the Year.

Cravens is the Inland Empire's first State Junior Player of the Year since 1982 and has been widely described as the top-rated college prospect in southern California for next year's graduating class.  He was also recently named to the MaxPreps All-American team.

During the season just ended, Cravens' versatility on both sides of the ball showed as he led the Southwestern League in scoring (8.7 points per game), was second in sacks (0.8 per game), sixth in receptions (20) and interceptions (0.2 per game), and seventh in rushing (75) and tackles (7.1 per game).

Cravens has narrowed his college choices to Arkansas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Stanford, and USC.  Some of the other schools that have offered him a football scholarship include Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, University of California Berkeley, Colorado, Hawaii, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Purdue, UCLA, Utah State and Washington.
