PHOTO GALLERY: Nighthawk Girls Basketball Team Comes Home as CIF Champions

The Murrieta Valley varsity girls basketball team put together an 18-point fourth quarter to seal the deal and bring home its very first CIF Southern Section Division 2A championship plaque.

Coach Scott Richards' squad led 11-7 after one quarter, 23-18 at halftime, 31-27 after three quarters, and accelerated in the final quarter to a 49-37 victory over Culver City on Friday afternoon at the Anaheim Convention Center.
