Eric was widely known in Murrieta not only for his performance on the field but for the great person he was off the field. A leader and overachiever, Eric was always going out of his way to make friends and inspire teammates.

This year’s Eric McMillan Legacy Award winner is Brandon Finnie, a senior at Murrieta Valley High School.

A fine student athlete to represent the award, Brandon is a captain for the Nighthawk football team and plays linebacker. He is active in the community and is an exceptional student.

A serious individual, Brandon says that he is very proud to win this award. He says he wants to work hard to achieve the values that the Eric McMillan award represents.

Brandon is looking forward to helping the Nighthawks to their best football season in years. After high school he plans on attending Brigham Young University and going on a mission.
