Murrieta Valley Will Play Football in Escondido

Power was restored in Escondido this morning and the non-league football game will be played.

Despite a major power outage that affected much of San Diego County, Murrieta Valley High's football game at Escondido High Friday night will go on as scheduled.

According to the Nighthawks athletics department, power was restored to the Escondido area around 4 a.m. Friday morning and they were informed that the varsity football game could be played.

The non-league game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
