Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball Fall Registration is Open

Registration for Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball league is open through Aug. 15, with fees starting as low as $100.

Registration is now open for Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball's fall 2012 season for boys and girls living in Murrieta, Wildomar and Lake Elsinore.

MVPB offers programs for the following age groups: Shetland (ages 4-6), Pinto (ages 8 and under), Mustang (ages 10 and under), Bronco (ages 12 and under), Pony (ages 14 and under), Colt-Palomino (ages 19 and under). Fees start as low as $100 for Shetland Division.

The fall season is considered to be preparatory for the upcoming spring season and as such, players are placed in the division in which they would play next year based upon their age as of March 31, 2013. The fall program also offers an excellent opportunity for those playing high school baseball or intending on trying out.

"Fall baseball is a little more relaxed," says MVPB President Greg Flores. "The program is geared more toward instruction and growth rather than competition. In fact, no scores or standings are kept during the season. For the amount of games and practice time, you will find no better baseball value around." Games are played at the MVP Baseball Complex of six baseball diamonds located on the corner of Fig and Adams Streets in Murrieta.

Registration entitles the player to a major league replica jersey and cap, free player clinics and a 16-20 game season with a post season tournament. All games are officiated by professional umpires. The league also stages several free clinics during the season.
