Murrieta High School Football Scores for Oct. 11
Vista Murrieta celebrates homecoming victory; Murrieta Valley, Murrieta Mesa and Calvary Murrieta dealt losses.
Friday was the start of league play for Murrieta’s varsity high school football teams.
In Southwestern League action, Temecula Valley scored first on the Vista Murrieta homecoming field, but the Broncos quickly tied Friday night's game and surpassed the Golden Bears. Final score 60-18. (Watch game highlights above courtesy of Foxsportswest.com, which streamed the matchup live.)
The score was tied for much of the Murrieta Valley, Great Oak game held at Nighthawk Stadium. The final score was Murrieta Valley 27, Great Oak 28 after the Nighthawks missed a nail-biting extra point attempt.

Murrieta Mesa scored three points to Chaparral's 31 during the first half of the game at Puma Stadium. A Rams’ comeback in the second half was not enough. Final score: Murrieta Mesa 22, Chaparral 31.
The Calvary Murrieta Warriors, who are in the Ambassador League, lost a tough one to Ontario Christian in a game played at Lakeside High School. Final score: Ontario Christian 43, Calvary Murrieta Christian 7.
