Murrieta Girls Win Las Vegas Soccer Tournament

Murrieta Surf Girls 2000 won the 2014 Silver State Tournament, held Jan. 25-26 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Murrieta Surf Soccer Club Girls 2000 won the Silver State Tournament Las Vegas, Nev. this past weekend by beating the third-ranked U13 (under 13 years old) girls' team in the state of Nevada, according to a news release.

Murrieta Surf G00 White U13 beat a physically strong and aggressive Heat FC 01FA Team 3-1 in the finals played at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex.

Murrieta Surf played its usual technically proficient possession style of soccer, scoring 14 goals while conceding just one in the tournament held Jan. 25-26, the news release stated.
