Murrieta Surf Girls 2000 reached the Finals of Cal South State Cup Presidents Division, which according to Cal South, is the worlds largest Youth Soccer Tournament.

Murrieta Surf eventually lost to the Eagles Soccer Club from Camarrillo in the last seconds of an extremely hard fought game during the tournament finals, which were held in San Bernardino on March 9.

The Tournament began with group play consisting of 78 teams on February 15.

Murrieta Surf reached the finals playing their technically proficient style of soccer and giving up just 4 goals in 8 games, defeating teams from San Diego to Sherman Oaks,  and 6 cites in between before being defeated 1-2 in the finals by a fine and athletic team from Camarillo.

Murrieta Surf is a local soccer club from Murrieta, and Los Alamos Sports Park plays host to their home training fields.  The team is coached by Frank Green.
