All-Star Basketball Games Set For Friday

Boys and girls all-star players from across western Riverside County will go head-to-head in final match-ups Friday at Vista Murrieta High School.

Area all-star high school basketball players will hit the court one last time this season.

The sixth annual Desert Valley All-Star Boys and Girls Games are set for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday at 28251 Clinton Keith Road.

"This is a celebration and sendoff for our area hoop stars," said Todd Malecki, organizer. "The last five years the game has become a local tradition."

Admission is $8. The fun includes free throw, three-pointer and slam dunk contests. The girls game begins at 6 p.m. and is 20 minutes per half. The boys game begins at 7:30 p.m. and is 24 minutes per half.
