Local high school football programs dominate CIF Southern Section, according to this week's polls and rankings.
As expected, Vista Murrieta remained No. 1 in prep football polls to start the week.
The Broncos stayed atop The Press-Enterprise's High School Game Time CIF Southern Section Inland II rankings, while Chaparral remained fourth. The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks rose one notch to No. 5, and Menifee Heritage broke into PE's top 10 for the first time this season.

In CIF Southern Section Inland Division polls released Monday for week six, Vista Murrieta was No. 1 again, while Murrieta Valley was ranked ninth and Chaparral sixth.
