Pink Softball Game Raises Awareness

Murrieta Mesa and Murrieta Valley played Wednesday's softball game for more than just league standings.

Murrieta Mesa and Murrieta Valley softball teams played a game Wednesday afternoon for something much more important than just league standings.

With both teams' uniforms highlighted in pink and with pink balloons adorning the stands, this game was played for breast cancer awareness.

Coach Erin Moran of Murrieta Mesa and Coach Sean Parks of Murrieta Valley decided that "PINK OUT" was on for this game. With the support of not only the players but all the fans in the stands, the game was a first in high school softball history for Murrieta.
