MVUSD Seeks Members for Citizens' Oversight Committee

Members of the public willing to serve on the Measure E Citizens' Oversight Committee are encouraged to apply, according to this news release.

Murrieta Valley Unified School District is seeking community members to serve on the Measure E Citizens’ Oversight Committee. Measure E is the $120 million General Obligation Bond passed by Murrieta voters in June 2006. Committee members insure that general obligation bond funds are used the way voters intended with the highest possible level of efficiency.

Measure E funds have been used to help build Murrieta Mesa High School, Dorothy McElhinney Middle School and Lisa J. Mails Elementary School. Measure E funds have also funded renovation projects throughout the District.

To assure broad-based representation, committee members must be in one of the following groups: Business representative, senior citizen, parent of MVUSD student, member of a taxpayer organization, an at-large community member or parent active in MVUSD PTA.

Individuals who are interested in serving on the Citizens’ Oversight Committee, may contact Lori Noorigian (951) 696-1600 ext. 1080 or via email at lnoorigian@murrieta.k12.ca.us to receive an application.
