MVUSD Appoints Permanent Principals for 5 Schools

The appointments were approved Thursday by the governing board of the Murrieta Valley Unified School District.

Five Murrieta educators who had been serving as interim principals since the start of this school year were appointed to serve in the positions permanently.

The Murrieta Valley Unified School District Board of Education voted during its regular meeting Thursday to appoint Brent Coley (Alta Murrieta Elementary); Jennifer Randel (Buchanan Elementary); Pam Picchiottino (Monte Vista Elementary); Howard Dimler (Dorothy McElhinney Middle School); and Steve Ellis (Murrieta Mesa High School) permanent principals at their respective schools.

Following a recent online survey of parents and school staff, it was evident that they have each earned the respect and admiration of students, staff and parents, according to Karen Parris, district spokeswoman.
