Murrieta Valley, Vista Murrieta Lead in National Online Contest

The nationwide Under Armour Finding Undeniable Contest, which will outfit one high school with $140,000 in athletic gear, is heating up.

and high schools are well into the contest having completed several challenges, including a video message from the mayor, a photo of their cafeteria food, and a video of their school mascot in action.

Now, there are 10 days left to try and gain the most online votes.

Vista Murrieta, which started the contest eight days late, went from 47th place to third place as of Sunday. So far the school has earned 19,518 points.

"We have worked really hard since we got an eight-day late start in this contest.
We have completed all the challenges and are now just voting for the next 10 days," said Mike Verkouteren, video production and media teacher at Vista Murrieta.

Murrieta Valley was in sixth place with 12,535 points as of Sunday, and still had some challenges to complete.
