Man Suspected of Lewd Acts Near Murrieta High At-Large

Police are looking for a man suspected of having committed a lewd act while sitting in his car and staring at teenage girls near Murrieta High School.

The first such incident occurred at 7:05 a.m. Sept. 5 while the car was parked at Washington Avenue and Vineyard Parkway. The second incident occurred at 6:55 a.m. Thursday when the suspect was parked at Washington Avenue and Nighthawk Way, according to the Murrieta Police Department.

The suspect was described as a short Latino with a stocky build in his late 30s or early 50s. He also had short cropped hair.

The car was described as possibly a small Toyota 1990s compact model with a slightly oxidized blue paint job.

Murrieta police urged anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts to call Detective Phil Gomez at (951) 461-6356.
