Local Restaurant Offers Killer Meals

Teriyaki Ninja Killer Rice Bowls isn't a Saturday cartoon, it's a new restaurant that offers killer rice bowls.

Since opening last year, in Temecula has earned quite a following with its customers by offering large portions, wraps and vegan fare, and sugar-free and gluten-free teriyaki sauces—with everything made fresh on-site.

“We have very loyal customers; 90 percent of our business is by word of mouth,” said co-owner Tiffany Slattery. Originally from San Clemente, she and her husband Craig, moved to Murrieta last January and opened the restaurant nine months later.

Craig is a certified Japanese cuisine chef and elementary school teacher. Both are excited to be sponsoring Taste of the Valley Murrieta/Jazz Fest happening this Sunday at Murrieta's .

is a district-wide extravaganza benefiting all four middle school music programs, plus all three high schools. The event will feature food from local restaurateurs and caterers, performances by jazz bands from and and along with several professional artists.

The Slatterys originally moved to Murrieta to be close to family. However, it soon became their home.

“This is the happiest place,” Tiffany said. “[Murrieta] has the nicest people; it’s the perfect place to raise a family.”

They hope to continue to make Murrieta their home. Their goal is to open several Teriyaki Ninja Killer Rice Bowls locations in the Temecula Valley.

Located at 41653 Margarita Road, Suite 108, at Overland in Temecula between Red Lobster and It’s All Good Bar & Grill, customers can expect a killer meal.

Along with signature rice bowls, Teriyaki Ninja offer salads and soon-to-be-famous Ninja Guac & Chips which are spicy, savory and sweet—all at once.

While Teriyaki Ninja signed on as a sponsor of Sunday's Taste of the Valley, they will not be serving. Instead, they encouraged locals to come out and support local schools.

Taste of the Valley begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 20 at  in Murrieta. A book of 10 tastings is $20 per person. All proceeds from the event benefit the instrumental music programs of participating schools. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
