Murrieta Valley girls water polo overwhelms the Pumas 15-2.
Murrieta Valley's girls water polo team let Chaparral know it is intent on winning the Southwestern League and repeating as CIF Champion.
The Nighthawks swarmed all over the Pumas on Tuesday, dominating from the very beginning. The Nighthawks were up 9-0 at the half and cruised to a 15-2 victory.
Goal keeper Abbie Goveia left the game with a shutout as her teammates continued the assault in the second half.

Paige Virgil was the top scoring Nighthawk with five goals. Kayla Fedler was next with four. Maddie Sanchez scored three goals while Brittni Gailey, Allie Coleman and Delayne Lynton scored one each.
Megan Myers scored both goals for the Pumas.

Murrieta Valley will be at home Thursday afternoon to take on another Southwestern League rival when Temecula Valley comes into town. The Golden Bears have a record of 3-2-4.
