Girls Basketball: All Southwestern League Team Selected

Bronco Captain Sarafina Maulupe voted MVP.

Ten Murrieta girls basketball players have been named All Southwestern League players.

Vista Murrieta captain Serafina Maulupe was voted the Southwestern League’s Most Valuable Player for 2013. Maulupe led the Broncos to 26-6 record and an undefeated Southwestern League Championship and into the CIF Playoffs. She had a 17.1 game scoring average and was the defining force for Vista Murrieta.

"To get this award is such an honor," Maulupe said. "There's so many good players in this league and I'm just blessed to have received it. I couldn't have done it without my teammates though. They are the main reason I received this award. It's just a true honor and I have to thank the man above for this."
