Dealership Partners with Schools to Give Away New Car

Toyota of Temecula Valley is celebrating its 20th anniversary by giving away a Corolla Sport.

High schools throughout Temecula and Murrieta are facing off in a challenge to see which one can bring in the most donations, with the ultimate prize being a new car.

For each $5 donated, residents get entered to win a Corolla Sport from Toyota of Temecula Valley in celebration of its 20th anniversary. On April 30, the winner will be announced during the Taste of Temecula Valley event.

Toyota of Temecula Valley opened in 1991 and now employs more than 140 residents besides contributing tax dollars into the community. Within the last 10 years, it has donated more than $1 million to local charities and organizations.

The following high schools have signed on to benefit from this contest: Temecula Valley High School, Chaparral High School, Great Oak High School, Murrieta Valley High School, Vista Murrieta High School, Calvary Murrieta Christian High School, Temecula Preparatory High School, Murrieta Mesa High School, Linfield Christian High School and Sparkman Alternative Education High School.

Those interested in helping out a school of their choice can go to Toyotas4u.com to make a donation. Supporters can indicate the specific group on campus they would like their funds to be directed to. One-hundred percent of all donations for the opportunity drawing will go to the school that is indicated at time of donation. Online donations are open until April 24.

There is an up-to-date tally of the donations that have been received so everyone can see where their school ranks in the competition between all of the schools. According to the most recent stats, Great Oak was leading the donations at $1350; Chaparral had $755. Murrieta schools had a lot of catching up to do: Vista Murrieta had the most in Murrieta at $165. Murrieta Mesa had $20 and Murrieta Valley had $10.

Toyota of Temecula Valley plans to bring a Corolla Sport to each of the participating schools for a special event.
