CIF Southern Section Football Playoff Pairings Announced

Murrieta to host two playoff games Friday evening.

The CIF Southern Section Ford Championships, Presented by Farmers, Football Playoffs begin Friday night, and Murrieta will be the site of two games.

Defending champion and undefeated Vista Murrieta will host the Huskies from South Hills High School of West Covina. The Huskies finished the season 6-4.

Murrieta Valley will be at home against Eisenhower from Rialto. The Eagles were 7-2 and were the Citrus Belt League Champions. The Nighthawks went 9-1, losing only to Vista Murrieta.

Chaparral was 7-3 this season. They will travel to Covina to take on the 9-1 Chargers of Charter Oak. The Chargers were Champions of the Sierra League.

The Cinderella story this year is the Wolfpack from Great Oak. They climbed into the playoffs by eliminating Murrieta Mesa on the final game of the season. They will face the undefeated Champs of the Baseline League, the Mighty Scotts from Upland.

Vista Murrieta 10-0 vs. South Hills 6-4 

Murrieta Valley 9-1 vs. Eisenhower 7-2

Chaparral 7-3 vs. Charter Oak 9-1

Great Oak 5-5  vs. Upland 10-0


CIF Southern Section Central Division

Paloma Valley 7-3 vs. Summit 9-1

Elsinore 7-3 vs. Colton 3-7

Temescal Canyon 4-5 vs. Palm Springs 8-2

Heritage 9-1 vs. Palm Desert 3-7


CIF Southern Section East Valley Division

Linfield Christian 4-6 vs. Malibu 7-3
