Charter School Accepting Fall Registration for Murrieta

Applications for the 2012-2013 school year are being accepted at the Murrieta Student Center of River Springs Charter School.

River Springs Charter School is a fully accredited, tuition-free K-12 public school. Students receive a rigorous private school education for free, said Murrieta site director Luz Johnston, in a news release.

The Murrieta Student Center offers three options. Casa Montessori is a three-day-a-week on-site academy for grades kindergarten through sixth. Classical Homeschool Academy is a two-day, on-site academy for grades kindergarten through eighth. Montessori Middle School is a five-day academy offered for students in seventh in eighth grades.

River Springs' Murrieta Student Center holds information events at 10 a.m. every Wednesday at . In addition, interested parents and families may attend two upcoming events.

From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 16, parents and families can view presentations, tour classrooms and talk with teachers. Applications will also be available.

The Murrieta Student Center will hold its Spring Carnival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 19. During the carnival, Murrieta students, families and teachers invite families from the community.

"This RSCS-sponsored event is a time for current and prospective families to enjoy games, food and fun," Johnston said.
