Murrieta Players Selected for All Riverside All-Star Team

Five Murrieta high school players are on the roster for the All Riverside All-Star Team, which will play in the 28th annual SPORT Foundation Inland Empire Classic on Jan. 12, 2013.

Five Murrieta High School players have made the roster for the Riverside County All-Star football squad.

They will be playing in the 28th annual SPORT Foundation Inland Empire All-Star Football Classic. The game will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Corona High School.

Middle Linebacker Bryce Smith and Quarterback Nick Stevens will represent the Vista Murrieta Broncos in the game. Team captains Stevens and Smith were the heart of the Bronco football team.

The Nighthawks will be sending the league’s Defensive MVP Terin Solomon to the game. Two time All-League defensive end Michael Payne will
also represent Murrieta Valley in the Classic.

The Murrieta Mesa Rams will be represented by wide-receiver Khalil Sharpe. Sharpe broke the Inland Empire all-time reception record with
182. The record includes all schools in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Other local players making the All-Star team were Great Oak’s running-back Jakob Certeza and punter Garrett Ackerman. Offensive lineman Addison Pulsipher will represent Temecula Valley while running back Justin Harris and tight-end Patrick Clifford will be there for Chaparral.
