8 Murrieta Players Selected for All-CIF SS Inland Division Football Team

The Broncos' Su’a Cravens named Defensive Player of the Year for CIF Southern Section Inland Division.

The All-CIF Southern Section Inland Division Football Team has been published and eight Murrieta players are on the roster—six of them Broncos.

Vista Murrieta's Su’a Cravens was named Defensive Player of the Year. Joining Cravens on the All-CIF team are teammates Nick Stevens, Mark Diano, Gavin Andrews, Bryce Smith and Curtis Bolton.

Stevens was the Broncos' quarterback and led Vista Murrieta into two consecutive CIF championship games.

"I am just so excited I have been chosen as a part of the team, it's an honor to be included with all those great athletes," Stevens said. "I'm happy for everyone who made the team, I know there is a lot of talent there."

Diano played center and solidified one of the best lines in the league. Andrews played defensive back. Bolton played defensive line and was key to the Broncos' league-dominating defense.

Smith, a linebacker, is ranked 26th in the nation among high school players, according to Maxpreps.com.

"I'm very honored to receive All-CIF honors. All thanks truly goes to God and I was truly blessed to be surrounded by the people who made success possible at Vista Murrieta," Smith said.

Smith was also named MVP of the Inland Empire All-Star Football Classic, and was the recipient of this year’s Eric McMillan Award, which is presented to the top student athlete at Vista Murrieta.

Representing Murrieta Valley on the All-CIF team is Terin Solomon, who was the All-Southwestern League Defensive Player of the Year.

Khalil Sharpe, the all-time Inland Empire reception leader from Murrieta Mesa was also selected.

"I feel very honored that I made the All-CIF team. I'm glad that all my hard work has paid off and it's a great way to end my high school career and expierence," Sharpe said.

Running back Justin Harris and offensive lineman Ian Kelly from Temecula's Chaparral High School also made the team.

The teams are selected by the Football Coaches Association and presented by the LA84 Foundation.

This couldn't possibly happen in a worse place, given the proximity to the freeway, high school, andRead More numerous businesses. UGH! The following is the press release from MPD: On 05-21-13, at 3:27 AM, the Murrieta Police Department received a call of a water-main break in the area of California Oaks Road and Monroe Avenue. Murrieta Police and Murrieta Fire Department initially responded to the scene and discovered a large sinkhole in the westbound lanes of California Oaks Road just west of Jackson Avenue. The sinkhole was approximately 4 feet deep and about 20 feet across. The hydraulic pressure from the water-main break appears to have created this sinkhole and damaged all the westbound lanes of California Oaks from approximately Jackson to Monroe. As a result, the westbound lanes of California Oaks between Jackson and Monroe will be closed for repair until further notice. Rancho Water Officials estimate that these repairs will take approximately one week to complete. When traveling in this area please expect delays and plan an alternate route in order to arrive at your destination on time.

Hey Maggie, I don't get a chance to talk to the help desk but the ad has gone away for now. I justRead More made a comment on one of Carl Petersons blogs and now the comment has disappeared and no trace of it in my comment history. Are comments still pending proof reading before they post? Was it taken down by the blog author? I realize you guys have made a lot of changes so I'm still not sure if there are bugs being worked out or if some thing else is going on. Any help would be appreciated.
