Water Board Election Set for Aug. 30

Voters in the Rancho California Water District service area are being asked to vote on who will fill three seats on the seven-member Board of Directors.

Ballots were mailed today to voters who are serviced by Rancho California Water District for an election late this month to select new board members.

The Rancho California Water District encompasses Temecula, part of Murrieta and unincorporated areas between the two municipalities. Voters are being asked to elect three candidates to the seven-member Board of Directors.

Incumbent Lisa Herman is attempting to fend off a challenge from engineer Brian Brady, and board member Roland Skumawitz is in a contest with business owner James Stewart. Board President Lawrence Libeu is running unopposed.

The election is by mail-in ballot only, though voters can vote in person at booths set up in the Riverside County Registrar of Voters' Office at 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside between now and Aug. 30.
