VIDEO: Registrar of Voters Urges Early Voting

Locations including The Promenade mall in Temecula will offer early voting.

Early voting for the June 5 primary election will be available starting June 1 at The Promenade Mall in Temecula.

Registered voters may attend any of the early voting sites and either drop off a vote-by-mail ballot or vote on an accessible voting unit.

"Early voting provides access to voters unable to make it to the polls on Election Day and those who would like their vote to be counted first on Election Night," said Kari Verjil, Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 1 through June 3, voters can cast their ballots at The Promenade, 40820 Winchester Road, Temecula. Other shopping malls offering the early voting are Galleria at Tyler in Riverside and the Westfield Palm Desert in Palm Desert.

At the Registrar's Office, early voting is available leading up to Election Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday—excluding holidays—at 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside. The registrar's office will also offer early votig from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, May 26 and June 2, and Sunday, June 3.

The Registrar's Office will be open Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Additionally, voters have until May 29 to request a vote-by-mail ballot by completing the request form on the back of their sample ballot or by using the application form on the Registrar of Voters’ website at Voteinfo.net.  The forms may be returned by mail or facsimile to 951-486-7272.

"Voters are encouraged to cast their ballot as soon as possible so that it can be included in the first Election Night results posted shortly after 8 p.m.," Verjil said.
