Murrieta-Temecula Republican Assembly Endorses Candidates

Lake Elsinore Councilwoman Melissa Melendez is endorsed by the Murrieta-Temecula Republican Assembly for the 67th Assembly District race, which includes Murrieta.

Several area candidates got the nod from the Murrieta-Temecula Republican Assembly during an April 6 vote, according to an emailed announcement.

For the 67th Assembly District race—which includes Murrieta—MTRA endorsed with a more than two-thirds vote.

Incumbent Brian Nestande was also endorsed by a more than two-thirds vote for the 64th Assembly District.

Escondido City Councilwoman Marie Waldron won more than two-thirds of the vote as MTRA's choice for the 75th Assembly District.

No endorsements were made for the 42nd Congressional District or the 60th Assembly District because majority votes were not reached.

It was recommended Bill Batey be endorsed by more than two-thirds of the delegates for the 61st Assembly District seat.

No endorsement was made for the Riverside County Supervisor District 1 because a majority vote was not reached.

Endorsed for Riverside County Superior Court Judge 1 was Victoria Cameron.

For Riverside County Superior Court Judge 2, John Henry was endorsed.

Michael J. Kennedy was endorsed for Riverside County Superior Court Judge 3.

MTRA is a member of the California Republican Assembly, and serves the communities of Homeland, Menifee, Murrieta, Perris, Romoland, Sun City, Temecula, Winchester and greater southwest Riverside County. MTRA meets monthly at Temeku Hills Grillroom in Temecula.
