Murrieta Planning Commission Appoints New Chairperson

Jeff Kirshberg was voted chairperson, while Anthony Casadonte will serve as vice-chair.

A new chairperson and vice-chair were appointed Wednesday for the Murrieta Planning Commission.

Jeff Kirshberg was voted chair, while Anthony Casadonte will serve as vice-chair of the volunteer Commission that reviews and makes municipal planning recommendations to Murrieta City Council.

Kirshberg served as vice-chair during the term that began in July 2011. He was first appointed to the Planning Commission Sept. 21, 2010.

Casadonte was appointed in July 2011 to a one-year term on the Commission in July 2011, and to serve a three-year term.

Also serving on the five-person volunteer Commission are new member Steven DeGrave, Ruthanne Taylor-Berger, who was appointed in July 2011, and former chair Gregory Goodman.

The Planning Commission is set to next meet at 6 p.m., Wednesday July 25 at , One Town Square, 24601 Jefferson Ave.
