Murrieta Offering Free Document Shredding on Saturday

The free Document On-Site Shredding Event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27 or until the truck is filled to capacity.

To help stop identity theft and as a service to its residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a free Document On-Site Shredding Event.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27 or until the truck is filled to capacity.

Residents, with proof of residency, may bring up to 10 banker-sized boxes per trip, to Murrieta City Hall at 1 Town Square, at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Kalmia Street in Murrieta. This event will take place in the parking lot behind City Hall.

Acceptable items include paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos and credit card statements. There is no need to remove staples or paper clips from documents. Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs.

No businesses please.
