Library to Close For Tour de Murrieta

The Murrieta Public Library will be closed Saturday, March 10, due to the closure of several city streets for Tour de Murrieta.

Several streets in Historic Downtown Murrieta will be closed to accommodate the 2012 Tour de Murrieta, scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 9, 10 and 11, resulting in the necessary closure of the on Saturday, March 10.

In anticipation of the closure, no library materials will be due on March 10.  Library staff changed the due dates for all patron materials previously checked out, according to a news release.

Since the Library will be inaccessible, all programs and other services will be postponed. Library users were reminded that while the Murrieta Library will be closed for the one day, books, DVDs, CDs and other materials can be renewed beforehand at the Library or via the Library’s web page. Patrons can view their personal accounts and access a variety of free resources that are always available for research, the news release stated.

The Library will resume normal operating hours beginning Monday, March 12.
