Last Road Closures Planned for Clinton Keith/I-215 Work

The closures will take place this Thursday evening through Friday morning, according to city officials.

This Thursday evening should be the last major closure at the Interstate 215/Clinton Keith Road interchange, according to city officials.

Clinton Keith Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, July 7, to 5 a.m. the following morning from McElwain Road west of the interstate to Creighton Road east of the interstate.

Traffic will be restricted on Clinton Keith Road between Murrieta Oaks Road and McElwain Road during these hours, according to an emailed announcement from the City of Murrieta.

Both northbound and southbound on-and off-ramps at Interstate 215 and Clinton Keith Road will be closed intermittently from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday due to the paving operations on Clinton Keith Road. 

It is recommended that drivers use alternative routes to and from Interstate 215 during these hours, the email stated.

Message signs will be used on Clinton Keith Road and Interstate 215, advising drivers of the closure plans. 

A completion date for the project has been set for July 22.
