With the project near the border of Murrieta and Temecula, construction will affect motorists on Jefferson Avenue between Auto Mall Parkway and Buecking Drive for approximately 10 weeks, according to a notice from the city of Murrieta. One lane in each direction was expected to stay open.

Once completed, phase one will offer an exit from Interstate 15 just north of Winchester Road, The Press-Enterprise reported.
