The June primary is behind us. As we look ahead to November’s elections, Murrieta Patch is devoted to bring you the information you need about every race in town. 

Here's our start on the candidates and issues we'll be covering as November draws near.

42nd District Congressional Race: , R-Corona, has been serving in Congress since 1992. He currently represents the 44th District, but with , Calvert now seeks to represent the newly-redrawn 42 District. His challenger, , D-Mission Viejo, is an attorney who aims to unseat the Republican.

67th State Assembly Race: Phil Paule, R-French Valley, and Melissa Melendez, R-Lake Elsinore, to become the two likley candidates for the 67th Assembly Distict. Paule has served as the district aide for U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, while Melendez is a Lake Elsinore city councilwoman. 

Murrieta City Council Race: The terms of two Murrieta city council members end in December: Randon Lane and Doug McAllister. Neither have publicly announced whether they will seek re-election. Lane would be up for his second four-year term, while McAllister would be seeking a third. Candidates have until August to file their intent to run in the race.

School Board Race: The terms of three Murrieta Valley Unified school board members end in December: Ken Dickson, Margi Wray and Paul Diffley. They also have until August to file their candidacy. Wray has served on the board since 1991, Dickson since 1997 and Diffley since 2003. 

U.S. Senatorial Race: Elizabeth Emken, R-Danville, is seeking to unseat Incumbent Dianne Feinstein, D-San Francisco, in the November run-off election.
