The City of Murrieta is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of construction at Interstate 215 and Clinton Keith Road, along with Whitewood Road.

The public and members of the business community are invited to attend. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. in The Orchard-Stone Creek Shopping Center parking lot off Clinton Keith Road.

The project is the first in Riverside County to be completed with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

It widens Clinton Keith Road to six lanes from McElwain west of the interstate to Whitewood Road east of the interstate. This inlcudes widening the bridge and changing the structure of the interchange's freeway on- and off-ramps for improved traffic flow.

It also extends Whitewood Road north to Baxter Road, servicing Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta.
