Supervisor Jeff Stone Touts District Highlights During Economic Development Forum In Temecula

County Supervisor Jeff Stone, who represents the third district, as well as county CEO Jay Orr, spoke during the two-hour 2014 Third District Economic Development Forum.

ORIGINAL POST: The business climate, public safety and other issues connected to southwest Riverside County will be among the talking points today for the 2014 Third District Economic Development Forum.

County Supervisor Jeff Stone, who represents the district, as well as county CEO Jay Orr will speak during the two-hour event, which is slated to get underway at 8 a.m. at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula.

"The forum will highlight accomplishments within the district from the last year, as well as our plans for the future," according to an invitation.

Infrastructure improvements, crime trends and the impact of state legislation on the local economy are expected to be discussed.

The Riverside County Economic Development Agency is hosting the mixer in partnership with Stone's office. Sponsors include the Perris-based Eastern Municipal Water District and Southern California Edison.

According to organizers, recognition will be paid to the Anza Valley, Hemet-San Jacinto Valley, Murrieta, San Jacinto and Temecula Valley chambers of commerce for their work promoting business development and growth in the region.

Proceeds generated from the breakfast will benefit the chambers, organizers said. --City News Service
