You'll have to do your own research -further than a Wikipedia search. I'm not going to lead you to the water because I realize you're just a dumb animal.

Interesting to know. But you seem to equate Red Neck with Republicans. The term Red Neck is actually related to Democrats. So if you are referring to bigoted Democrats, I'm OK with that. If you are stating that Republicans are Red Necks and that Republicans are bigoted. Sorry for you misuse of the word. Some Republicans may be bigots just like Democrats. But it doesn't make them Red Necks. Better try next time. The term characterized farmers having a red neck caused by sunburn from hours working in the fields. A citation from 1893 provides a definition as "poorer inhabitants of the rural districts...men who work in the field, as a matter of course, generally have their skin stained red and burnt by the sun, and especially is this true of the back of their necks". By 1900, "rednecks" was in common use to designate the political factions inside the Democratic Party comprising poor white farmers in the South. The same group was also often called the "wool hat boys" (for they opposed the rich men, who wore expensive silk hats). A newspaper notice in Mississippi in August 1891 called on rednecks to rally at the polls at the upcoming primary election.

Every topic needs a CLOWN and we've found ours. Wow, you've elevated the discussion to playground insults. Guess that's good given your obvious 2 digit IQ. Go away, you're comments are irrelevant,
TSManning August 27, 2012 at 03:55 AM
Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me... Wow well the republican party has clearly choosen a very good team of representation especially if your representing these nit witts roun'da these parts .. bicker bicker - How and what relation to anything solid, do these comments above for this article apply??. Children with ballots great..that explains this town a bit more. sorry to say but you ain't gonna get your way hahahahahaha

i believe i do understand And I do agree you are not to be taken seriously lighten up your load sparky chill you must be loaded up on cholesterol fighting drugs and probably need to check you blood preasure more, by the way you are those "lame ass blogs" and your "CRAP" haha
Adrian August 27, 2012 at 08:47 AM
Wow, this has certainly taken a turn toward the stupid. I am neither a "Democrap", nor a "Ref*cklican" (see, I can conjure up 5th grade creative juices just as deftly as 'The Republican'). I am left of the right, but right of the left. I am a private employee earning a modest, but respectable, +/-$100k/ year. My tax rate cuts to the bone, but somehow I do not mind a portion of my taxes going to those in a more tedious position than I. There seems to be a binary division, separating those who cannot work from those who will not work, in the minds of the far right. There is a huge gray area, inclusive of those whose efforts still leave them short of self sustaining earnings (despite their hard work); those who cannot find work, or cannot find sufficient work; those whose emotional/mental/physical state precludes them from the mainstream workforce, or precludes them from substantial employment, but does not meet the technical standards of disability; and those in categories not included in my non exhaustive list. It is not my place to make any call related to these folks. All I can do is be a good neighbor and gladly surrender my taxes to see them through. Maybe there will be some misappropriation and someone will take advantage, but that comes with the territory. There is certainly some fat to be trimmed, but don't start at the provision of basic needs.
Patrick August 27, 2012 at 11:46 AM
Come on, Ed, use your grape. It doesn't make a lot of sense for you to use a "playground insult" in one breath and moan about the level of discussion, for the same reason, in the next. I thought it couldn't decline from the very first comment -which you seemingly have no problem with- and then you came along.. My mistake. By the way, Mr. Ed, did you enlighten yourself on the origin of the term "redneck" or do you double down on being ignorant?
temeculan August 27, 2012 at 12:51 PM
Dear "The Republican", I am a Republican and I am going to ask you to cool the profanity and stop your self indulgent name-calling. A little goes a long way sir, and you go too far and make a good conservative look like a jerk. You may not be a jerk but you sure sound like one.
temeculan August 27, 2012 at 12:54 PM
Miss Adrian, You have to be a girl. Only a girl writes,...."emotional/mental/physical state..."! And, Adrian....what in the world are you talking about?
GD August 27, 2012 at 03:15 PM
Temeculan, what does Adrian's gender have to do with anything here? Adrian, I understood you perfectly and agree.
Patrick August 28, 2012 at 11:41 PM
GD- what does that stand for? Adrian's gender speaks volumes if, in fact, Adrian has male genetalia. One specific reason: emasculation of more than one generation of Americans.
GodGuy316 August 29, 2012 at 12:42 AM
He's probably some sissy that don't work and if so he works with flowers or something. Probably gets welfare cause he's afraid of hard work and a little church. Wa I am too sad to work today bettr ask Obama for a big check to by dope!
GodGuy316 August 29, 2012 at 12:46 AM
We're I come from GD means god dam like god dam hippy liberal
Adrian August 29, 2012 at 12:56 AM
Flush, you are right! I must be an emasculated man. How emasculated of me to want to fight for the well being of others, as well as my own. It must be my total lack of masculine attributes which causes me to refrain from kicking someone when (s)he's down. Not that I am equating masculinity with virtue or strength. I am merely responding in kind to your assertion. Your insults strongly suggest that "weakness" is a feminine trait, if you take a short walk down your line of implication (along with our friend, Temeculan). Wow, add misogyny to your bag of tricks.
Adrian August 29, 2012 at 01:00 AM
@GodGuy....wow, just wow. Flowers; what is the implication there? If it is an allusion to sexuality or gender, then I don't think this even needs to be an argument. If we make it one, have a better point than hints suggesting that I have "feminine" interests. By and by, I know many "men's men" whom maintain gardens. They work with flowers and I can almost guarantee their physical, "masculine" prowess meets or exceeds your own. Ha...wow

Mitt Romney made the following statements on the campaign trail: Russia is our greatest threat. Palestinians do not want peace. Those two statements alone should make all Americans very concerned. Unless of course we want another war. As for Romney dismissing and calling 47% of American voters victims. Does this mean if he were elected he will not be interested or care about all Americans only his supporters.. Not very American in my opinion, calling fellow Americans freeloaders as Romney did,

To vote for a democrats is to vote for the KKK and the Communist party. The Democrats voted in mass against the Civil Rights act and the KKK was a branch of the Democrat Party Sen Robert Byrd was a grand Dragon of the KKK. Todays Democrat party is a wing of the Communist Party that is why they showed Soviet Era battleships at the convention in North Carolina. The first grand wizard of the KKK was honored at the 1868 Democratic National Convention, no Democrats voted for the 14th Amendment to grant citizenship to former slaves and, to this day, the party website ignores those decades of racism, Three years after Appomattox, the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting blacks citizenship in the United States, came before Congress: 94 percent of Republicans endorsed it. The records of Congress reveal that not one Democrat either in the House or the Senate voted for the 14th Amendment.Three years after the Civil War, and the Democrats from the North as well as the South were still refusing to recognize any rights of citizenship for black Americans. South Carolina Gov. Wade Hampton at the 1868 Democratic National Convention inserted a clause in the party platform declaring the Congress' civil rights laws were "unconstitutional, revolutionary, and void." It was the same convention when Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first grand wizard of the KKK, was honored for his leadership.

This is the legacy of the Democrat party and one which President Obama embraces and actually appears to relish. He is quite familiar with the hate, fear and smear art form practiced by his fellow democratic leaders. He uses it with adept frequency. The president flies into crucial swing states like Ohio, Florida, and Virginia with his practiced hanging drawl. He then enchants the black locals with notions of sugar plum government programs that will make their life better, if they give him the same chance they did in 2008. This is done with no reflection upon their own increasing misery index which just happens to coincide with Obama’s increased abandonment of any job, education, or community safety-net promises made. Instead, it is only through continued black misery indexing upward can Obama and democrats continue their titanium plantation grip upon over 90 percent of America’s black electorate.
Lash LaRue September 22, 2012 at 11:13 PM
The goal of democrat plantation politics has been to find a convenient and perpetual target that can be feared, hated, smeared and consequently demonized. Republicans are that target group, which unions, democrat community organizers like Obama, and democrat political machine leaders have made their primary election year goal. Of course with the compliance of the NAACP, as their contracted plantation house servant, the nefarious and typically highly emotionally charged negative rhetoric rings off of church and community center walls every election season. But what are universally missing are the facts of Republican misdeeds. Emotional sing song rhyming rhetoric is the bait democrat plantation leaders ply to submerge common sense or biblical principles and values learned in the church.
Lash LaRue September 22, 2012 at 11:18 PM
Black Americans have to truly take a serious look at themselves, and come to the realization that this nonsensical embrace of plantation charlatan practices by Obama and the democrats is a death sentence for their children’s future. Think about this, as blacks, you have been told to discard their own misery index which continues to shackle the hopes and dreams of your family. Instead you are spun a myth with no facts. If one were to ask a black democrat plantation resident, what is wrong with a Romney or President Bush, or even a President Reagan or President Nixon, they cannot give one specific fact-based reason. The only practiced response uttered is “They… said he or they hate blacks!” Did Republican President Lincoln hate blacks when he issued the Emancipation Proclamation to free black slaves? Did Republican President Eisenhower hate blacks when he sent federal troops into Little Rock, Arkansas to protect the lives of young black school children or support civil rights bills? Did Republican President Nixon hate blacks when he supported and promoted funding for historically African American colleges, minority-owned businesses, and supporting ill-advised affirmative action programs?

A good friend sent this email and said the following: "Do you think this is what happens when a mining operator/Developer seems to be in control of your elected politicians and the appointed officials these same politicians put in positions of authority. Do you think government employees have to follow the instructions of these same politicians in order to keep their government jobs? Do you wonder if someone would be fired if they didn't do what the politicians wanted them to do?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m_HypxyudI&feature=relmfu Have you seen the MaryAnn Edwards video featuring the Aberhill Ranch Boys and Girls Club with Castle & Cookes aggregate mining operation in the background it's across the street. Paul Jacobs may be onto something? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhckrqXX-L4 Another video of the Alberhill Ranch Boys and Girls Club which puts things in prospective: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e12kTmWvn7U&feature=related

This is exactly why we need to get corporate and union money out of politics. No one should be able to buy an election. Corporations are not people my friend.
