City Seeks to Fill Seat on Library Advisory Commission

The deadline for returning applications to the Murrieta City Clerk is 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 6.

Murrieta residents 18 or older are invited to apply to serve on the Library Advisory Commission.

There is one vacant seat on the Commission, according to a public notice dated Jan. 16.

The Library Advisory Commission, made up of five volunteers, meets at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of even-numbered months at Murrieta City Hall.

It is responsible for providing recommendations to City Council through the librarian on the topics including library policies, legislative review, interfacing with the Friends of the Murrieta Public Library and reviewing grant proposals.

Applications may be obtained from the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or from the City Clerk’s page on the City website.
